Your support will help us conduct cutting edge science that can prevent another mother from suffering with postpartum mood disorders. Ultimately, we want to find the cure for postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis.
Your donation will help women like Evelyn Bussell, who suffered from postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter. She was treated at UNC's inpatient postpartum depression unit in 2012, and was inspired to become a doula and birth educator to help other women recognize the symptoms of PPD and to get help.
All donations will go toward the cost of conducting this project. This includes genotyping DNA samples, conducting data analyses and ensuring the recruitment of a diverse sample of women across the world.
